Webmail allows emails to be sent from websites to any number of addresses. It has a large number of very useful applications.

When combined with a web form it allows a company to have a large amount of control over the emails content. A simple example would be a request for more information on a product or service from a customer. If the customer was to send a normal email there is little control over what information they supply, however using a web form to send email allows you to ask for specific information. This allows you to gain exactly what information you need.
